HUMAN DOG TRAINING REGIMENT
What a session with HUMAN DOG entails.
HEEL AND GO TECHNIQUE
ENVIRONMENTAL AWARENESS
ATHLETICS

How we get things started.
Crossing the Road, squirrels, other dogs and cats, strangers, children, finding their way home, etc..
SPEED, Fetching, Frisbee, Climbing
In order to begin any type of training, the first thing we establish is that we are training. The heel and go technique uses repetitive behavior and words. (which you can choose or I use the default word "HEEL" ) This enlightens the dogs mind and prepares him for the coming sessions. This technique connects me with the dog and allows for further skills to develop. The key is in the reward which in the HUMAN DOG case would be constant praise.
In order for a dog to be in control and at HUMAN DOG you will hear that word used on your dog often, the dog must be confident in his/her surroundings. They need to experience their zones/borders/neighbourhood and the people and elements that reside in them. The more exposure the more confident the dog will be. We build on this and the result is a confident controlled dog who stays close to the owner.
When a dog masters the Athletics he becomes a prodigy. Dogs who are asked to be trained in Athletics become wonderful companions. And after age 3 after vigorous training with their owner they become calm cool and so easy to command. Any age dog can become an Athletic dog but puppies benefit the most from this route in training.
